2MW Biomass Pyrolysis Power Plant Project Malaysia
About this Project:
This project is located in Malaysia, is a listed company in Malaysia, the owner signed a contract with Haiqi in September 2023, the scale of the project is 2 sets of biomass pyrolysis power generation multi-generation system, power generation capacity of 2MW/hour, the raw material consumption of 160 tons/day.
The raw materials used in this project are rubber wood, agricultural and forestry waste, palm fruit bunches EFB. Biomass after Haiqi pyrolysis equipment produces gas after purification into the power generation system to generate electricity, gas in the purification process can be obtained tar, wood vinegar liquid, biomass in the temperature of 600 ~ 650 ℃ in the isolation of the air carbonization to get biochar. Biomass pyrolysis is a carbon-negative technology. Biochar can be sequestered blockade for hundreds of years, usually one ton of biochar can be offset by one ton of carbon, and the carbon can be used to generate electricity. Usually one ton of biochar can offset 2.3 tons of CO2, so it can get carbon sink. This project can produce 15,000MW of electricity, 11,625 tons of biochar, 2,250 tons of wood tar, 4,500 tons of wood vinegar, and 26,738 tons of carbon sinks annually.
This project is expected to be put into production in May 2024, and the project outputs five kinds of products: green electricity, biochar, wood tar, wood vinegar liquid and carbon sink. The applications of the products are as follows:
1) Application of biochar: fertilizer, cement, asphalt, feed, graphene, hard carbon
2) Application of wood vinegar liquid: liquid fertilizer, fine chemicals
3) Application of tar: asphalt, biodiesel
(4) Application of renewable gas: power generation, heat supply
Social benefits: After the implementation of this project, firstly, it can contribute to the local environmental protection, secondly, it can guide the local industry, and thirdly, it can drive the local employment and improve the living standard of the people. Because this project is a negative carbon emission, not only does not increase the CO2 in the atmosphere, but also fixes and stores the CO2, reducing CO2 emissions, and using agricultural and forestry wastes as raw materials, avoiding waste littering and polluting the environment, and playing a very good environmental protection benefit. The introduction of carbon-negative technology, as a benchmark for the industry, will play a leading role in guiding them to follow suit and establish the same project in the future. Material:
The raw materials used in this project are rubber wood, agroforestry waste, and palm fruit bunches EFB.
System Processes:
The system process used in this project is as follows:Cogeneration process: biomass is crushed into about 2cm size, entered into the drum dryer to dry to within 15% moisture, and then entered into the Haiqi carbonization furnace for carbonization, the resulting gas can be purified and separated from tar and wood vinegar liquids into the biomass gas internal combustion generator for power generation. At the same time, the biomass gas produced by the biomass gasifier is burned by low-NOx burner and heated by the hot air furnace to produce high temperature flue gas of more than 900℃ for pyrolysis and carbonization, which produces high-quality biocarbon, and the temperature of the tail gas discharged from the carbonization is as high as 500℃, which can be used to dry the raw materials or used for residual heat utilization, and the final tail gas is purified to meet the standard emission.
Fine chemical process, the gas, biochar, wood tar and wood vinegar produced by this project can be further processed into chemical products through fine chemical process.
The gas can be used to obtain dimethyl ether, LNG, ethanol, methanol, synthetic ammonia through fine chemical process.
Biochar can get graphene, carbon, battery anode through fine chemical process.
Wood vinegar can be used as chemical additives and medical additives through fine chemicals.
Wood tar can be used to produce biodiesel through fine chemicals.
