At the beginning of June 2024, Shanghai Haiqi Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. successfully cooperated with a mineral powder producer in Xinxiang City, and jointly implemented an innovative thermal energy conversion project - 20 tonnes of wood chip burner docking vertical mill project. The project improves the heat energy conversion efficiency in the production process of mineral powder through the efficient use of biomass fuels, reduces energy costs, and at the same time achieves environmental protection and emission reduction.

In this project, the wood chip burner provided by the HaiQi team uses construction template crushed material as the main fuel, which has a calorific value of up to 3,000-3,200 kcal/kg, and the ash content is controlled at about 10%. The combustion system has a maximum feed capacity of 4.3 tonnes per hour and a minimum feed capacity of 1.6 tonnes per hour, ensuring flexibility in the production process.
In order to further improve the uniformity and adequacy of the fuel combustion, our customer uses a double fabricator and double flap feeder for the charging operation. This unique charging method not only improves fuel utilisation efficiency, but also reduces energy consumption and emissions during the combustion process.
As for the connection between the burner and the vertical mill, HaiQi's team carefully designed a technical solution to make the burner and the customer's own duel combustion chamber fit perfectly. The flame is fully combusted in the dual combustion chamber, the non-combustible materials are effectively deposited, and the clean hot air is transported to the stone mill through the hot air duct for heating. This design not only improves the heat conversion efficiency, but also ensures the continuity and stability of the production process.
In terms of exhaust gas treatment, the project adopts a combination of Raider Ceramic Dust Collector and Bag Dust Collector. After this treatment process, the tail gas emission meets the relevant national environmental protection standards and achieves the standard emission.
It is worth mentioning that the wood chip burner selected for this project has a strong adaptability of raw materials. In addition to building template crushed material, the burner can also use biomass wood chips, bamboo chips, pellet fuel, fruit shells, coconut shells, coffee shells, disposable bamboo chopsticks, RDF burning sticks and other fuels. This wide range of fuel adaptability not only reduces the customer's biomass raw material procurement costs, but also improves the flexibility and stability of the production process.
After actual testing, the burnout rate of the wood chip burner in this project reached more than 90%. this cooperation between HaiQi and this mineral powder producer is not only a practice of technological innovation, but also an inheritance of environmental protection concept.
